Same character, every video
Why AI characters change between clips, and how to keep one face, one outfit, across a whole series.

You make a great first clip. Then in the second clip your hero has a different face, a new shirt and somehow a different nose. Character consistency is the number one problem people hit when they try to make a story with AI video. Here is why it happens and how to fix it.
Why characters change
Most AI video models create each clip from scratch. If you describe your character with words only (“a brave rabbit in a red scarf”), the model imagines a new rabbit every time. Words leave too much room: which red, which scarf, how big are the ears? Across 20 clips those small differences add up to a different character.
The fix: one picture, used everywhere
- Draw each character once as a clear reference: full body, face visible, plain background.
- Fix the outfit. Decide the clothes and colours and never change them unless the story needs it.
- Start every scene from the reference, not from a text description. The first frame of each clip is drawn with the character pictures, then animated.
- Keep the same look (3D, 2D, real) for the whole series; mixing styles makes characters drift.
- Check every scene and redo the ones where a face changed.
How Toon Series does it for you
When the story is written, every character gets a reference picture with their face, body and outfit. You can redraw a character before any video is made. Then every scene in every part is drawn from those pictures, with the right characters in the right places, and each finished clip is checked automatically against the cast. In a 3-part series, your hero looks the same in scene 1 of part 1 and the last scene of part 3.

Other things that keep a series consistent
- The same voice for each character in every part.
- The same places. The village, the college, the kitchen stay the same.
- One speaker per shot, so lips match words and nobody else's mouth moves by mistake.

Questions
Why does my AI character look different in every clip?
Most AI video models create each clip from a text description, and they imagine the character slightly differently each time. Starting every clip from the same reference picture fixes most of it.
How does Toon Series keep characters consistent?
Each character gets one reference picture with their face and outfit, and every scene in every part is drawn from it. Finished clips are checked against the cast automatically.
Can I change a character's look?
Yes. You can redraw a character before any video is made, and the new look is used in every scene.
