Privacy policy

Toon Series turns your story ideas into AI-made stories, characters, storyboards and videos. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell your data and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

What we collect

• A random device ID. Created when you first open the app, so your stories stay yours without a sign-up. It is not linked to your name.
• What you create. Your story ideas, the stories, characters, storyboards, pictures and videos made from them, and any changes you ask for.
• Photos you add for your own character (a pet, a drawing, a toy). They are used only to draw that character in your story. Photos of people are refused. Photos not used in a story are deleted after 7 days; the rest are deleted with the story.
• Voice input, if you use the mic. Your recording is turned into text so it can become your idea. We do not keep the recording after it is turned into text.
• iCloud backup of your account code. The random account code is also saved in your own iCloud (Apple's key-value storage), so your stories come back on a new iPhone with the same Apple ID. We cannot read anything else in your iCloud. If iCloud is off, the code stays on your phone only.
• Purchases. Your plan, credit balance and purchase history. Payment is handled by Apple; we never see your card details.
• Notifications, if you allow them. A push token so we can tell you when a video is ready.
• Basic technical data. Your IP address and request logs, used to keep the service running and to stop abuse (for example, limits on free stories).

How we use it

• To write, draw and make the videos you ask for, and to show them back to you.
• To keep your credits and plan correct and to restore purchases.
• To prevent abuse of free stories and to keep the service safe.
• To answer you when you contact support or report a problem.

Services we use

To make your content, the text you write and the pictures made from it are sent to these AI and hosting providers, only for that purpose:

• Anthropic (Claude) writes stories and storyboards.
• Google (Gemini and Veo) draws characters and scenes, studies photos you add for your own character, and makes video clips.
• fal.ai makes video clips when Google is busy.
• Cloudflare hosts our servers, stores your pictures and videos, and turns voice recordings into text.
• Apple handles the iCloud backup of your account code, purchases, notifications and device checks against abuse.
• RevenueCat confirms your purchases and subscriptions with Apple.

These providers use your content only to make it for you. It is not used to train their AI models, and before anything is sent the app asks for your permission once.

How long we keep it

• Your stories and videos are kept while you use the app. On the free plan, finished videos are removed after 90 days.
• When you delete a story, its pictures and videos are deleted.
• When you choose Account → Delete my data, we delete your stories, characters, pictures, videos, credits and account. A short record that this phone already used its free story is kept to prevent abuse; it contains no content and no name.

Children

Toon Series is not made for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will delete their data.

Your choices

• You can use the app without giving your name or email.
• You can turn off the microphone, notifications and Photos access at any time in iPhone Settings.
• You can delete any story, or all your data, inside the app.
• You can ask us for a copy of your data or to correct or delete it: email privacy@toonseries.com or use the contact form on our support page.
